Cloud Studio is a collective of strategists and creatives that work together for the growth of a brand’s social presence. Youme Lin is the founder of Cloud Studio, and they are based in New York City. As a goal-oriented creative, Youme Lin sets the trend of social media management by growing brands from startups to household names.
The Problem
As Youme LIn sees tremendous growth in her social media agency, it was time to have a virtual home where people can visit, connect, and book her team’s services. However, Youme Lin didn’t want a generic website that looks similar to every other Social Media Management website on the net. She needed a creative and functional website that highlights her strengths and achievements while still keeping it professional.
After gathering information, I realized that the website must be a representation of what they do- which is to grow brands online. However, clients usually look for a track record of success before committing to any social media manager or agency. Therefore, the website must

Competitors Analysis
There are tons of social media agencies out there, and they focus heavily on being creative with their aesthetics and neglect the important stuff. After carrying out an analysis of social media agencies in NYC and other top-performing websites around the world, I realized some basic strengths and weaknesses that I could use to my advantage.

Unlike other SM websites that come with long home pages, I decided to shorten the length and include converting sections that will lead to sales. We added the studio’s track record, including incremental profits, to give prospects an idea of what is achievable.
I used bold colors that may look odd to capture the attention of the visitors and add some creativity to the website. Instead of creating distracting backgrounds or including a lot of pictures to grab attention, I substituted with colors. Doing this kept the website simple yet creative.
Call-to-action buttons were placed strategically on every single page. You won’t have to scroll thrice before you see a button telling you to take action. This constantly keeps the decision in front of the client and makes it easy to make decisions.
After wireframing the website layout and determining where each element, CTA button, and copy would go, it was time to start designing.
Typography
Quiche Sans was used as the heading font because of its legibility, luxury feel, and sophistication. It has a unique look of formality and modernism to it, so it was perfect for Cloud Studio. The paragraph font was Classico URW– a legible and clean font perfect for small and large sizes. It didn’t take long to realize that these two fonts would make a good pair and make every word stand out.

After the tedious process of designing and iteration, it was time to optimize the website to contain the keywords it would rank for and also customize the URLs if there was a need. Next, we submitted the website’s sitemap to Google for indexing and to help search engines discover the site. We cross-checked everything and ensured there were no broken links.
Client’s Training
Getting used to Squarespace may take some time; therefore, we explained everything to know and how to use Squarespace and make edits to pages. There is also a file that further buttress the explanation. In case there was any issue, the clients were free to consult me for help.
Personal Perspective
Working on Cloud Studio was an exciting project because it unleashed my creativity and allowed me to interact with new clients. I worked with the team to know what they truly wanted and create the website of their dreams. One thing about websites is that they are different from one another; therefore, they need to be built differently.
I always ensure that clients are carried along during the process to make adjustments and ask questions. My main goal as a Squarespace web designer is to build websites that stand out and convert. However, beyond these, clients satisfaction is also a priority.
